Lead Developer

One agency rite of passage: getting a zany nickname from Scott Lawrence when you start. Carl “Gorton’s Fish Sticks” may have our favorite ever. Beyond that, he’s also an experience developer, programming custom websites and emails, developing databases, conducting Q/A testing and more. Carl is proficient in HTML, CSS, PHP, ColdFusion, jQuery, SQL and a bunch of other programming languages most don’t understand, along with being Google Analytics and Google Mobile Site certified. Prior to joining L&S, Carl worked at Daktronics in Brookings, SD, and at Norwood Promotional Products in Red Wing, MN. Carl earned his BFA in Graphic Design from the University of South Dakota, and an Associate’s Degree in Web Development and Interactive Media from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He’s also a proud member of the Army National Guard.
