SDOHS – Be A Hero
In towns all across South Dakota, it’s your banker ... the kid’s little league coach ... and your brother-in-law who are the firefighters, EMTs and first responders. So when you drink and drive, they will be the first on the scene. And maybe the last faces you see.
That's why the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety and Lawrence & Schiller have launched a new social norming campaign that encourages people to think about—not only the potentially deadly consequences— but also who they will affect when they drink and drive. The campaign encourages people to do the first responders in their town a favor by giving them the night off and volunteering to be a designated driver … to be the hero.
