Lawrence & Schiller prides itself on producing effective work that moves the needle for our clients.
But being recognized is always awesome – and two L&S projects were honored at the 2016 W3 Awards.
L&S was awarded a gold W3 award in the podcasts category for Reboot, our very own agency podcast that covers the latest in tech and digital marketing. Hosted by Marketing Technologist Trevor Patch and Digital Specialist Travis Adney, each episode features a new trending topic in tech and a fresh perspective on its marketing implications from a special guest. Listen to every Reboot episode here.
The Remembering Riders campaign for the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety was also recognized, receiving a silver W3 award in the government websites category. The site promoted safety at the 2016 Sturgis motorcycle rally, urging participants to pay tribute to fallen riders by taking a pledge to ride carefully and always wear appropriate gear.
“Our office has always prided itself as being on the cutting edge with roadway safety messaging,” said Lee Axdahl, Director of SDOHS. “We have much to accomplish, though, because motorcycle deaths account for nearly one fifth of our total roadway fatalities.”
Visit the site and you’ll see its signature feature: a scrolling background of names – friends and family members gone too soon. Over 400 riders pledged to protect themselves and others on the road, each receiving a custom patch from our Sturgis street team.
W3 awards honor creative excellence on the web and recognize the marketing professionals behind websites, digital marketing, online video, mobile sites, apps and social media. Nearly 5,000 entries are judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, a body consisting of top-tier professionals from media, interactive, advertising and marketing firms.
