Situation:
Reflective of the economic state and overall consumer tendencies of 2009, Lewis Drug knew that a back-to-basics Holiday approach was appropriate for their 2009 Holiday campaign. They wanted to educate and remind consumers that Lewis is Your First Stop for the all your basic needs for the Holidays rather than promoting hot gadgets and trendy items as had been done in years past.

Solution:
Set to a modern rendition of “Oh, Christmas Tree”, Lawrence & Schiller created a TV commercial that highlighted a breadth of products from all departments within Lewis in a simple, fun style. The product mix- from snacks and beverages to cameras and toys- was selected to demonstrate that whether it be for shipping and packaging, decorating your house for the holidays, gifting or party planning, Lewis has it all.
Results:
With a 5.9% sales increase over the previous November and December, the 2009 Lewis Holiday campaign brought in record sales for Lewis Drug. Store traffic increased, showing that consumers truly made Lewis a destination for their Holiday shopping.
